I grew up with my dad telling me, "Son, you can do and be ANYTHING you set your mind to." Thank you Dad. Happy Father's Day!

Growing up my father constantly told my sisters, brother and I, that "nobody owes anything to anyone." I did not fully understand what that meant until I became an adult. What it means is nobody owes you a living. If you want something, work for it. Do not expect others to give you something for nothing. My father is a retired NYC police officer. He worked three jobs until I was 21 and then he worked two jobs until his retirement. He is a proud, admirable man and I am lucky to be his daughter. Happy Father's Day Pop..... thanks for the awesome childhood and upbringing!

dont expect anyone to hand you anything in life. You have to work and work hard for it and earn it. And it feels so much better when you earn it yourself instead of someone just handing it to you.
