Sound Off: Best Super Bowl Commercial

From the Doritos baby to Ferris Bueller, Super Bowl Sunday delivered plenty of laughs. But what ad reigned supreme? Take our poll.

The New York Giants may have been the big winners Sunday, but one question remains: What was the best Super Bowl commercial of 2012?

This year's ads featured plenty of Super Bowl Sunday staples—funny babies, cute dogs and a bunch of celebrities (Jerry Seinfeld, Clint Eastwood, Betty White and David Beckham, to name a few).

The Associated Press reports that companies paid an average of $3.5 million for a 30-second spot during Sunday's game, which was expected to attract 111 million-plus fans.

However, nearly half of the 70 Super Bowl advertisers circulated their ads online in the days leading up to the game. By Sunday, Honda's CRV-ad with Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller had been viewed more than 10 million times, the Miami Herald reports. The VW-chasing dog had more than 2 million views.

What did you think, Patch readers? Which commercials scored, and which ones flopped? Vote for your favorite in our poll and tell us what you thought in the comments.

Chevy's "Happy Grad" commercial had me laughing out loud.

I kind of liked the Howard Stern promo for his joining that talent show.. spraying people off a stage with a fire hose is pretty funny.

My buddies brother wrote and directed the Happy Grad commercial. Pretty cool that it has been getting great feedback and was shot in one day on a shoe string budget comparing to the multi-million dollar productions it was against.

The only one that really had me glued to the set was Clint Eastwood's ad for Chrysler/Dodge. His voice alone makes you stop. Too bad he can't run for president. He was mayor of glendale wasn't he? LOL
