Sayville new budget proposal

Why were we told that the taxes would be at 1.99%  But now it seems that they will be at 1.22%  Which is it?

m, the first budget was 2.99% After it was voted down, the BoE got it down to 1.22%, which will likely pass.

Thank goodness Sayville woke up! The BOE has been shafting us for years. Don't know about you but I know that my salary can not support the increases that the school wants. Maybe they should learn to do more with less like I have had to!

In the past several years, the government convinced the public that health care need fixing and cited numerous examples of middle class people filing for bankruptcy due to illnesses. Whether you believe that or not, consider the cost of public education. It's risen at twice the rate of healthcare. Nationwide, we now spend between $20K-$29K per student on education with no better results. Why doesn't the government want to reform that?
