My charity this year is Ronald McDonald house of Stony Brook Family Room. This opened up a few months ago. I'm onboard with Supervisor Jeana Lewis over at SB who advised it consists of a kitchenette (fridge, sink, microwave), bath, laundry and family room. There's on an going need for the below posted items. If anyone would like to make donations, I'm committed to delivering items every weekend for the month of November. In addition, there's an even greater need for volunteers on the weekends Jeana advised. Currently, it's hard keeping the room open on weekends due to lack of volunteers. The 3 shifts available are 9am-1pm, 1pm-5pm, 5-9pm. The room is located on the 11th floor of the pediatric wing. If anyone is interested in volunteering , please contact Jeana Lewis at 631-478-7128.
