Sayville Resident and Volunteer Rose F. Ostrom, 87, Dies

Services set for lifetime honorary member of Sayville Village Improvement Society.

Sayville resident and longtime community volunteer Rose F. Ostrom, 87, died on December 22, 2013.

She was a special education teacher for the Connetquot School District as well as a member of AHRC. She was a very active member at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville, as well as a lifetime honorary member of the Sayville Village Improvement Society.            

She is survived by the husband of 62 years, Jim, her children Gregory of Queens, New York, Andrew, and his wife T.K., of China,  Elizabeth, and her husband Stephen Molstad, of California, and Thomas, her grandchildren Patrick, Colin, Jonathan, Bobby, and Danny, and her brother George Pisano, and his wife Flo,            

Friends and family will gather December 26 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville. A funeral mass will be held December 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence R.C. Church, Sayville. Interment will follow at the Parish Cemetery.
