The Most Reverend James J Daly, 92, D.D., retired Auxiliary Bishop of Rockville Centre and Blue Point resident, died on October 14.
Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his much beloved caretaker Alex. Reposing Thursday, October 17 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church, 175 Blue Point Avenue, Blue Point, where the Mass of Transferral will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass Friday 1 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Agnes, 29 Quealy Place, Rockville Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to Msgr. Peter A. Chiara Hall at St. Mary’s RC Church, 20 Harrison Avenue, East Islip, NY 11730 or St. Pius Residence for Senior Priests, 565 Albany Avenue, Amityville, NY 11701, are appreciated.
