Ooh La La Volunteers Work Hands on for Charity

Throughout the summer, volunteers from the five-store women's boutique raise funds for Habitat for Humanity.

Volunteers from , a five store women’s clothing chain with a location in Sayville, spent much of their summer raising money for Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk County.

Starting with a runway show back in June, the volunteers hosted fundraising events throughout the summer to raise money and support for Habitat for Humanity. On Sept. 29 and 30, the Ooh la la volunteers made their way to Bellport to help build a home.

They built a home for a mother, her two children and their grandmother. Ooh la la’s volunteers chose to work with Habitat for Humanity for a second time because they were inspired by working hands-on for the organization and seeing the end results of hard work.

Last year, the women traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and volunteered for a three-day women build. This year they wanted to volunteer locally in hopes to spread more awareness, said Natalie Orellana, Public Relations & Store Manager.

Overall, Ooh la la raised approximately $5,000 for the organization.
