No. 71 - Where To Worship On Christmas

Churches in the area holding services Christmas weekend.

There are numerous local churches holding services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Some have performances of choirs and brass trios. Look at our list below to find a place to worship on Christmas.

Choral Eucharist with Brass Trio & Choir at 9 p.m.

Traditional Choral Midnight Mass with Brass Trio & Choir at 11 p.m.

Dec. 25 – Holy Eucharist with Christmas Corals at 10 a.m.

3 p.m. – Divine Service with Holy Communion and Children’s Message

5 p.m. – Divine Candlelight Service with Holy Communion

7 p.m. – Divine Candlelight Service with Holy Communion

11 p.m. – Divine Candlelight Service with Holy Communion

Dec. 25 – 11 a.m. Divine Service with Holy Communion

Dec. 24 – Orthros & Divine Liturgy with Choir

Dec. 25 – Come as you are PJs or jeans, a light breakfast will be served at 10:15 a.m.

And so the taxpayer is once again asked to give more to an already out of control and bloatedRead More system. Every year the school districts on Long Island receive increases of millions of dollars to their budgets, and still they want to bleed the taxpayer for more. As two income families struggle to pay exorbitant tax bills, we’re asked to pay even more? We’ll here’s a novel idea, how about if the teachers union’s began demanding less? This early retirement baloney must stop, salaries should be capped, administrators and their staffs must be cut by at least eighty percent. In addition, educators and staff should have to pay for their own medical and retirement plans just as the rest of us must. Here on Long Island, families are suffering and sacrificing, and many are being forced to leave due to taxes which are out of control. It is time for educators to cease hiding behind children with threats of decreased student programs, and to make an honest and realistic observation as to why things are as bad as they are. To blame parents for not paying enough into the system to support the schools is ludicrous. The real problem lies in a system which is self serving, and run by incompetents blind to the harm they are inflicting upon our children and families.
