Don't Miss Miracle on Main

Here's the lineup for tomorrow's holiday kickoff event.

The Holiday Parade will be held in town at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow. In the evening, the Fifth Annual Miracle on Main Street Festival starts at 5 p.m. Main Street will be closed down by approximately 3 p.m. 

Here's what you can expect to find...

  • The Fifth Annual Gingerbread Competition - Gingerbread Entries should be dropped off at the Sweet Gourmet at 69 Main St. from 3-6 p.m. A total of $500 in Sayville Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificates will be awarded. All entries should include some form of gingerbread. Your choice of theme but, must be family appropriate! Winners will be announced at approximately 7:30 p.m. Entries must be taken home by 9 p.m.
  • Santa and Reindeer - Located outside of Stadtmuller Jewelers at 18 Main Street, Santa meets and greets here as soon as he steps off the stage from the Christmas Tree Lighting.
  • Christmas Tree Lighting - The tree will be illuminated around 5:30 p.m. Members of the Chamber of Commerce will be handing out approximately 500 candles to the public.
  • The BelAirs Concert is from 5-7 p.m. with the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
  • An old fashioned carousel will offer free rides from 5-9 p.m. on South Main Street.
  • The LI Brass Guild Concert will be at Candee & Main St. at 7 p.m.
  • The American Dance Theatre of Long Island and St. John's Handbell Choir will be at Chase Bank at 6 p.m.
  • Irish Dancing will be located in front of Kay Cameron Jewelers, 49 Main St. from 5:30 p.m.
  • Chip Byrant, Sayville's own Vaudevillian Silent Clown will be performing near the Main Stage at Main St. & Railroad Ave. from 6-7 p.m.
