The Memorial Day brings a few parades to enjoy for residents between West Sayville and Blue Point. Here’s a guide to the events celebrating the veterans who have done so much for their country.
SAYVILLE
The Sayville Fire Department hosts Sayville's annual Memorial Day Parade on May 27. The parade will start at 9 a.m. on the corner of Handsome Avenue and Main Street in Sayville. It will proceed East on Main Street to Foster Avenue, South to Middle Road and West to Sparrow Park where services honoring the military will be held. The Sayville Fire Department will host a firematic service at the Sayville Fire Department immediately following the services at Sparrow Park.
BAYPORT
The annual parade is led by the Bayport Fire Department takes place on Middle Road, kicking off from Connetquot Avenue and heading east to the Memorial Park just west of Bayport Avenue. The parade begins at 11 a.m.
BLUE POINT
The parade begins at 11 a.m. and starts off at the corner of Blue Point Avenue and Middle Road, heading north to the fire house.
