Sayville Varsity Scout Unit is One of High Adventure

Troop 184's varsity unit recently took a backpack trip upstate.

Sayville's Boy Scout Troop 184 supports a Varsity Unit, also numbered "184" and the unit is composed of scouts that have attained the ranks of Life Scout and Eagle Scout and which are run by the boys under minimal adult supervision. Varsity Unit 184 is sponsored by St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The boys are focused on high adventure activities such as backpacking, shooting, and rafting.  

A recent backpacking trip was to Harriman State Park and also the West Point Military Reservation campus.
