Sayville Cat Found Safe and Sound and Now Back Home

Nearly after a week gone missing the feline was found trapped in a barn.

A-Rod, a Sayville cat that went missing nearly a week ago on Astrid Drive, is back home safe and sound after his owners found him trapped in the owner's backyard barn between old lounge chair cushions.

"He's alive and well. Scared out of his mind. Hiding in the tiniest spot in the very, very back corner of our barn of a shed," the owner told Patch in a note. She and her sons had spent two hours hauling garbage from the shed and there was A-Rod laying still until he bolted across the yard and over a fence.

"We chased him to a bush where he laid still. I laid with him/on him until he was calm, scooped him up and carried him home," the owner related.
