Sayville Business Assists Federal Building Gain LEEDS Certification

TEAM Pest Control, based in Sayville, helped a corporate building gain LEED certification.

TEAM Pest Control, Inc. based in Sayville, has helped a corporate building tenanted by the IRS and the US Immigration Office gain LEED certification. TEAM is proud to be a part of the LEED certified building at 5000 Corporate Ct., Holtsville. In the United States and in a number of other countries around the world LEED certification is the recognized standard for measuring building sustainability.

The building’s management firm, REIT Management and Research, LLC enlisted the help of Team Pest Control’s owner and president, Tom Sieminski, to help sift through the lists of materials accepted by LEED. This tedious and rigorous process reduced the available pesticide usage and promoted a more environmentally aware atmosphere.

“We, at TEAM, take pride in this attitude, and gaining the LEED certification proves our commitment to higher standards, environmental stewardship, and public safety,” said Sieminski. “We are proud to be a part of a LEED certified building.” said Pete Bove, general manager.

And so the taxpayer is once again asked to give more to an already out of control and bloatedRead More system. Every year the school districts on Long Island receive increases of millions of dollars to their budgets, and still they want to bleed the taxpayer for more. As two income families struggle to pay exorbitant tax bills, we’re asked to pay even more? We’ll here’s a novel idea, how about if the teachers union’s began demanding less? This early retirement baloney must stop, salaries should be capped, administrators and their staffs must be cut by at least eighty percent. In addition, educators and staff should have to pay for their own medical and retirement plans just as the rest of us must. Here on Long Island, families are suffering and sacrificing, and many are being forced to leave due to taxes which are out of control. It is time for educators to cease hiding behind children with threats of decreased student programs, and to make an honest and realistic observation as to why things are as bad as they are. To blame parents for not paying enough into the system to support the schools is ludicrous. The real problem lies in a system which is self serving, and run by incompetents blind to the harm they are inflicting upon our children and families.

It's a drive-through bank.

I heard it was a bank some time ago, but I can't imagine which bank would run a construction projectRead More so poorly.
