The annual community clean up day, sponsored by the Bayport-Blue Point High School Ecology Club and the South Shore Community Organization, will take place Sunday, April 28.
It's the 21st year for the project which draws dozens of volunteers from many local community and school groups.
Volunteers interested in participating are asked to call the South Shore organization ahead of the event, by calling 631-277-1365 or sending an email to sscomh@aol.com, to find out what areas in the community need clean-up crews.
Participants can stop at the high school's east-side front entrance to get cleanup supplies on the day of the event between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
