Thursday 11-11-2010 from Midnight to the start of Veterans Day Ceremony at Sparrow Park at 11:00 am. A Guard Mount will be conducted for eleven hours, starting at midnight. As you drive by, honk your horn to acknowledge their efforts as they honor the members of the armed forces who protect our freedoms around the world. You'll see two veterans each hour standing watch and marching their post at Sparrow Park throughout the night. Dressed in their Veterans Uniforms members of the Sayville Veterans of Foreign Wars [VFW] will join members of the Smith-Wever American Legion Post to perform this Guard Mount to honor all veterans during our Greater Sayville Veterans Day Ceremony.
