Sayville Fire Department Wilbur Ritter-9/11 Blood Drive

This year’s September 11th blood drive is held in memory of Honorary Captain Wilbur Ritter, who perished in the line of duty after responding to an alarm on Main Street in 2006 as well as those lost on 9/11/01.   Wilbur was the Chairman of Sayville’s Blood Drive for about 20 years and donated 128 pints... that’s 16 gallons of blood in his lifetime!   This year’s goal is to match the number of pints Wilbur donated.
If you’ve been a donor hero before, please stop by and donate.  If you’ve never donated, please try it
once.  You will leave knowing that you are a hero and did your part to help save up to 3 lives and will probably
decide to donate again and again!  Call 589-0189 for information.
