On Saturday, December 18th 2010, the US Veterans MC, Long Island Chapter will be holding their first ever Fundraiser Breakfast to benefit Veterans & Military families alike.
The goal of our breakfast is to first raise funds so we may continue to serve our Brothers & Sisters, However there is so much more to our event.
Along with delicious food, the event will include a drop point for items, such as socks, T-shirts, toiletries, books, snacks, sweat suits, hats, gloves, etc. These basic items will be delivered to the Northport Veterans Hospital that same afternoon. A child activity table will be available so that children may create Holiday cards also to be handed to our Veterans that afternoon. The event, at Northport, is the Annual Christmas gathering to end our full year of monthly visits to Our Veterans residing there. These Veterans either have no family or their family does not have the resources to care for them.

Finally, our breakfast event will provide a food drop table so that we may create holiday food baskets for 6 adopted Veteran's families. These families have just recently gained housing. We recently collected and delivered used furniture to these proud families in an effort to help them become independent again. The food baskets will go a long way to bring holiday spirit when it is needed most.
