Join us on Fire Island and enjoy a beautiful (free) ferry ride from Sayville to Sunken Forest and help to protect our environment by collecting and recording the litter found on the shore.

About the Cleanup:

- We will meet at 10AM at the Sunken Forest/Sailor's Haven ferry and return on the 3PM ferry back to Sayville.
- There is free parking at a small Town of Islip lot at the corner of Brown's River Road and River Road, just south of the Sunken Forest ferry on your right.
- Bring a lunch or you can purchase lunch at the concession stand, there are bathroom facilities too.
- Garbage bags and latex gloves will be provided.

- In 2011, 6,368 volunteers, coordinated by the American Littoral Society, cleaned and documented 93,644 pounds of debris along 262.18 miles of New York State's shoreline.
