Did you know that the Library was founded in the same year as the Great New England Hurricane? Join us for a fascinating program on the Hurricane of 1938, plus learn a little bit about the history of the Library along the way. Scott Mandia, Physical Science Professor, will begin by telling the story of the Hurricane from a scientific standpoint. Next, local historian Gene Horton will show through photos and words the local effects of the Hurricane, plus illustrate the history of the Library.
