Massapequa, NY, September 27, 2013 –
Massapequa Pet Vet Animal Hospital (www.mpetvet.vetsuite.com ), a full service veterinary
center, will host their annual “Barktoberfest” fundraiser on Sunday, October
20, 2013, from 12-5 pm at its facility located at 5330 Merrick Road, Massapequa, NY.  All profits will
directly benefit three non-profit organizations:  All About Spay & Neuter, a cat rescue and adoption
group; The Barking Barracks, which finds homes for pets whose owners are
enlisted in the military; and the Long Island Wildlife
and Animal Rescue (LIWAR), a wildlife and dog/cat rescue group providing
medical care and rehabilitation.

Massapequa Pet Vet's veterinarians and staff invite the public,
including their family pets, to stop by and enjoy the “Barktoberfest” activities,
which include games, training demos, rescue groups, animal education, a Bouncy
Castle, food, cat adoptions and more.  Prizes will be awarded for both the
Best Pet Costume and the Best Pet Trick contests.  An auction and raffles
provided by local businesses will help to raise funds.
