We will be holding a benefit for the Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk (VIBS) on November 24, 2012 starting at 11am at Sal’s Pizzeria and Catering, 183 Montauk Highway in Sayville. VIBS is a great organization that has been aiding residents of Suffolk County since 1976.
VIBS’ mission is “to assist the survivors of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault; to prevent the incidence of these crimes through education and services; and to raise community awareness of the need for justice and compassion for victims.”
We’re honored to welcome VIBS staff to answer questions and provide information. WBAB radio station will also be in attendance with great music, raffle items and giveaways. We’ll be giving away one pizza per hour to a lucky donor!
In addition to monetary donations, VIBS is in need of the following items:
- Gift cards (especially for grocery stores, gas stations, Walmart, Target, CVS, etc.)
- Non-perishable food items
- Cell phones (new or used)
- Toys
- Digital cameras
- Electronics (Nintendo DS, laptop computers, iPods, etc.)
