Sayville Boys and Girls Basketball programs are sponsoring their Annual COACHES VS CANCER Basketball games to raise money for the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY.


Fund Raiser includes:


•door donations
•50-50 raffles
•individual game raffles
•concession sales
•Coaches VS. Cancer pin-ups displayed on site
•and more!


All proceeds go to the
American Cancer Society in the name of Sayville Boys and Girls Basketball programs.


Game schedule FOR Saturday     December 22nd     

  10:00am         JV - Girls    Vs Rocky Point
  12 noon          JV - Boys    Vs Rocky Point
 
   2:00pm          Varsity Girls      Vs Rocky Point
   4:00pm          Varsity  Boys    Vs Rocky Point

And so the taxpayer is once again asked to give more to an already out of control and bloatedRead More system. Every year the school districts on Long Island receive increases of millions of dollars to their budgets, and still they want to bleed the taxpayer for more. As two income families struggle to pay exorbitant tax bills, we’re asked to pay even more? We’ll here’s a novel idea, how about if the teachers union’s began demanding less? This early retirement baloney must stop, salaries should be capped, administrators and their staffs must be cut by at least eighty percent. In addition, educators and staff should have to pay for their own medical and retirement plans just as the rest of us must. Here on Long Island, families are suffering and sacrificing, and many are being forced to leave due to taxes which are out of control. It is time for educators to cease hiding behind children with threats of decreased student programs, and to make an honest and realistic observation as to why things are as bad as they are. To blame parents for not paying enough into the system to support the schools is ludicrous. The real problem lies in a system which is self serving, and run by incompetents blind to the harm they are inflicting upon our children and families.
