Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts will present a joint concert by The Bay Area Symphonic Orchestra, directed by Dr. Richard Wright, and The Bay Area Chorus, directed by Martha Campanile, on November 17th, 2012 at 7:30 PM. 


 


They will be performing Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Serenade to Music" and Edward Elgar's "Music Makers", with guest soloist mezzo soprano April Lindevald.


 


The concert will be held at Bayport-Bluepoint High School, Snedecor Avenue, Bayport.  Admission is free but donations are welcome.

The BAFFA Autumn Concert scheduled for November 17th has been postponed until a later date. The weather, current fuel shortage and the needs of our members and their neighbors in recovering from Hurricane Sandy and should take precedence at this time. BAFFA continues to collect baby and personal hygiene items, linens, blankets, warm outwear, hats and shoes for our neighbors in need. These items can be dropped off at the BAFFA Office at 47 Gillette Avenue, Sayville, during open hours, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 10 am to 1pm and on Saturday and Sunday November 17 and 18 from 1 to 4 pm. The Autumn Concert will be rescheduled in January. Watch the BAFFA website at www.baffa.org, Patch and local newspapers for the new date. The Raffle Winner of the two front orchestra seats for the Boston Pops Concert at the Tilles Center will be drawn as scheduled on Saturday, November 17. The winner will be notified by telephone.
