Who's Who of Sayville

Patch talks to Dr. David Eisenberg, pediatrician.

Sayville Patch recently caught up with Dr. David Eisenberg of Eisenberg Pediatrics on Main Street.

What is your connection to Sayville?

I have been a pediatrician in the Sayville area for 13 years. Besides working here I have been a resident/homeowner in Sayville for eight years.

When did you open your practice?

I opened my own practice, Eisenberg Pediatrics, six years ago which has steadily grown since then. I took on a second physician last year and have a nurse practitioner as well. My philosophy of practice is that I like to give the appropriate time and attention to each and every child so I can provide the best care possible.

Are you involved with any other projects/services in the areas?

Until recently, over the last four years I served as a member of the board of directors of the Leeway School in Sayville as well as a pediatric consultant to them. I have given talks at the local Babies r Us about pediatric safety.  Each year I host a holiday toy and clothing drive in my office for mercyFirst, a non-profit social service agency on Long Island which provides foster care for children as well as assistance to families in need.

What do you love most about Sayville?

I grew up on Long Island and enjoy living in the suburbs. Sayville is a very quiet and friendly town which suits my easygoing personality.

What's your favorite place to dine in Sayville?

One of my favorite restaurants to eat in and order out from is the Sayville Aegean Cafe and I also frequent the Parkville Plaza Deli.

What do you envision for Sayville in the next 10 years?

Hopefully over the next 10 years the economy will improve and more young families will continue to move into town and help keep its youthful feel.
