Weekly Recap

Here's a recap of what happened in Bayport-Blue Point this week for those of you who didn't get a chance to visit the site.

Last week started out promising, with the Phantoms' (football) win against Port Jeff on Saturday. Tuesday morning though, numerous residents awoke to find their tires had been slashed. The puncturing of 52 tires on 22 vehicles is being investigated by police. Sayville resident Ken Mangan ousted 5th Assembly District incumbent Ginny Fields, who has an office in Bayport, in the democratic primary on Tuesday. Patch also reported on Islip Town news, such as the board's review of dropoff bin regulations and their bond rating.
