Readers' Choice: Best Chinese Restaurant

This week we ask local readers to give it up for their favorite Chinese place.

Every community is home to several Chinese restaurants and local residents are passionate about which is their favorite. This week Sayville-Bayport Patch wants to know which local Chinese restaurant you run to when looking to get your take-out fix.

We’ve highlighted a few choices below. If we’ve missed one, let us know in the comments section.

Readers’ Choice is a new weekly feature where we ask you – our readers – to tell us your top picks on the businesses and local attractions that get your loyalty.

Each Monday we’ll list our recommendations and on Friday we’ll tabulate all of the poll votes, comments, recent directory reviews and e-mails and crown a Reader’s Choice.

Please only vote once in the poll, because any attempt to game the results could end up in your favorite businesses being disqualified.

Here are our nominees:

Wai Wah Kitchen

Food King Kitchen

Beijing Kitchen

Sweet Mandarin

I want to nominate Hoi Ming! They have the best staff and the best tasting food by far.

I agree with exactly your comments and I order most of my chinese food from Hoi Ming. The only problem is that place is in dire need of a remodel. Thank god its so dark in there because I probably wouldnt eat in there if the lights were on full blast. Carpets are nasty, the ceiling is repulsive.... I only order take-out because if I eat inside the restaurant I start disliking the place. Its a shame cause they do have the nicest wait staff around.

Well, since there is no Oakdale/Bohemia/Ronkonkoma (AKA Connetquot) Patch (request # - I have lost count) I have to say Pad Thai in the Oakdale Shopping Center. We always go specifically for the Thai - (which is excellent) but they also do Chinese BUT NOT regular chinese....they do "authentic" chinese food. They explained that they get many requests from Chinese students over at Dowling to make food like they had at home. Its simplier, basic ingredients, basic sauces, etc....and it is EXCELLENT. Check it out - they put those dishes as specials...
