A list of local scheduled events for Wednesday, Nov. 17.

The week started off with breaking news in Bayport: The woman involved in Monday morning's  at McConnell Avenue in Bayport has been identified by MTA Police as Coralee Grant, 21, of Sayville. Grant is in critical condition. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation by the MTA Police, according to MTA spokesman Salvatore Arena. Get the full story .

  • Country Comfort Holiday Cooking at. Local residents Monica Musetti-Carlin and Mary Elizabeth Roarke, co-authors of Country Comfort Holiday and Harvest cookbooks, will present a cooking demonstration to delight your families and holiday guests using seasonal recipes from their books. A fee is due at in-person registration.
