Keep Islip Clean - Keep Islip Clean (KIC) is a not-for-profit, community service organization dedicated to a cleaner, prouder Islip Township. KIC, a certified affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Inc., with hundreds of dedicated volunteers, work all year round picking up roadside litter, planting flowers, painting over graffiti, cleaning our wetlands and improving the quality of life for all 18 hamlets of Islip. Cornell Cooperative Extension – The mission of the Cornell Cooperative Extension educational system is to enable people to improve their lives and communities through partnerships that put experience and research knowledge to work. In Suffolk County, specific program areas are dedicated to the achievement of this mission according to the particular environmental, industrial and social aspects of our county. Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice – Incorporated in 1952, Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk is committed to providing the best possible care to patients without regard to race, religion, age, sex or ability to pay. As a freestanding, not-for-profit, community based home health care and hospice agency, Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk responds to community needs as they arise, maintaining a tradition of charitable and compassionate care in the home, as well as providing community service activities such as blood drives, bereavement support, and flu clinics. Pilot International Foundation - Pilot International Foundation is a philanthropic arm of Pilot International, a non-profit service organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life in communities worldwide. Pilot International’s service focuses in prevention and education regarding traumatic brain injury and brain-related disorder. The Pilot Club of Sayville is a member organization of Pilot International and, through projects such as this, seeks to improve the quality of life for those with brain-related disorders. Boys & Girls Club – The Boys & Girls Club of the Bellport Area offers young people what they need and want most - adults who inspire, respect and listen to them, a safe environment where they can have fun and be themselves; find interesting, constructive activities that support the work of parents and schools, and channel youthful energy into challenging pursuits. Our youth development strategy employs caring, trained, professionals and tested programs to foster a sense of belonging, and competence and to build self-confidence and self-esteem. The club’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most in the Bellport Area and increasingly from the South Shore, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
