Long Island Maritime Museum Announces Bay Days Camp

Offers kids a unique way to spend the summer.

The is once again offering its popular summer camp, Bay Days, to children entering the first through fifth grades. This adventurous camp focuses on all things related to the Great South Bay– and gives the kids the opportunity to explore our unique marine habitats through interactive, hands-on learning experiences designed to be both educational and fun.

Environmentally focused activities change on a weekly basis and include encounters with some of the amazing creatures living in our local waters, seining, dock scraping and other interesting crafts and projects. The children will also have the opportunity to participate in a marine biology excursion around the Great South Bay.

Camp begins Monday, June 27 and runs through Friday, August 19. Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., daily. After-care is available until 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee.
