Jan. 18: School Board, Civic Installation and Karaoke

With four varsity sports events, Bayport Civic Association's Installation Dinner and a board of education meeting, Tuesday's local scheduled is filled with activities for everyone.

1. Phantoms varsity sports agenda: boys bowling, 3:30 p.m., East Islip Lanes; boys basketball, 4 p.m., Mount Sinai High School; girls basketball, 4 p.m., ; boys swimming, 4:30 p.m., East Hampton YMCA.

2. The Bayport Civic Association will hold its 3rd Annual Installation Dinner at the .  Legislator Bill Lindsay will be Master of Ceremonies as we swear in our Executive Board and name the first recipient of the BCA's Civic Pride Award.  Please visit our website for more details.

3. Have questions or concerns about your child's education that you would like to address with the school board? The  will host a board of education meeting at  beginning at 8 p.m. when the board members exit executive session. Parents, teachers, students and community members are invited to listen to district members discuss and debate news in the district.

4. Grab some friends and head over to  to join in the Karaoke Tuesdays event from 8 p.m. to close.
