Leonora Petrina, of Bayport, scored as the overall winner of the 30th annual Runner’s Edge Long Island Women’s Run on July 13, as a strong field of 439 runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes crossed the finish line on the track at Farmingdale High School.

In recognition of Mary Haedrich, a West Islip High School senior, was recently given The Young Women in Public Affairs Award by the Zonta Club of Suffolk County.
