1. MUSEUM WELCOMES ACTOR

Where/When: Long Island Maritime Museum on March 19 at 10 a.m.

Why Go: Will Hutchins will discuss his career in early TV, movies, stage and the circus. A resident of Glen Head, Will is a wonderful part of Long Island TV history. Sugarfoot (ABC) a 60 minute show, aired from 1957 to 1961. Hutchins followed it with Hey Landlord and Dagwood. He also made guest appearances on such series as Alfred Hitchcock, Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, Love American Style and Maverick.

2. TEEN MOVIE NIGHT

Where/When: Sayville Library on Match 18 at 6:30 p.m.

Why Go: Send your teen to the library for a fun social event.

Pricing: Free

 

3. FUN TUPPERWARE PARTY

Where/When:  Sayville VFW on March 19 at 7 p.m.

Why Go: Pure entertainment and fun. Aunt Barbara, as seen on TV and You Tube, along with the Sayville Veterans of Foreign Wars will be hosting the Tupperware of all Tupperware parties.  Don't forget the Chinese Auction. Come share in the fun while you support your local veterans.

Pricing: $5

 

4. AFRICAN VIOLET SHOW & SALE

Where/When: West Sayville Fire Department on March 19 from 2-5 p.m. and March 20 from noon – 4 p.m.

Why Go: Spring is almost here. Celebrate its arrival by attending the 36th Annual African Violet Show and Sale, under the sponsorship of the Sweet Water African Violet Society. The show will be held at the West Sayville Fire Hall. The theme of this year's show is "Violets at the Movies". This will be reflected in the various exhibits in the Design Division. Also on display will be Container Gardens created by some of the members.

Pricing: Small donation requested at the door.

 

5. 5th ANNUAL LT. FLORENCE EVANS SPECIAL EVENT

Where/When: March 19 at 2 p.m. at the newly named, Florence Evans Memorial Park, Oversouth Lane (the small park is situated in the municipal parking lot behind Crickets restaurant.)
