The identity of the woman was not immediately known. The female victim was immediately treated inside the home by EMS crews from Community Ambulance Company for having 2nd and 3rd degree burns on her chest, face, airway and extremities covering 27 percent of her body, according to Community Ambulance Company Chief Jamie Atkinson.

"Our members applied burn sheets to prevent hypothermia and infection, administered several life saving medications and secured her unstable airway.  Community Ambulance Company’s members trained in Advanced Life Support followed the Parkland Formula, the national standard for treating burn injuries, and administered a large amount of saline intravenously. This fluid stabilizes blood pressure and replenishes fluid volume that is lost due to the extensive burn injuries. Atkinson said.
