My Family Fridays performance may have been cancelled, but the Rotary Pet Parade certainly made up for it. My sister, Eleanor, happened to be the chairperson and when I commented that she at least got the good weather, she said it was 'cause our mother always liked her best:) Some things never change. We are both Rotarians, and speaking for our club, we want to thank the community for its support and participation. Donations we collected will go towards our club projects such as Gift of Life, Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck, Sayville Food Pantry and Polio Plus. It is probably the club event we enjoy the most and we are so happy to have had over 300 pets partiipating. From the tiniest Chinese hamster to the elegant chestnut mare, each pet was presented by its proud owner.Thanks to everyone who took the time to come out to march or to support the marchers. See you again next year!
