West Sayville is Home to Hamptons Style Décor Store

Vintage gift, home accessories and decor abound at Hamptons West.

Hamptons West is tucked into the last small strip of stores on Montauk Highway in West Sayville and its petite nature may give the impression there’s not much to be explored.

But in fact, it’s just the opposite. The quaint storefront, across from the West Sayville Fire Department, offers up shelves of unique home décor items and offers a wide range of classic white and silver décor for the upcoming holiday season.

Proprietor Susan Fasano, a Bayport resident, says the goal of Hamptons West is to offer vintage décor that is unique and can’t be found elsewhere, even out in the real Hamptons.

To do that Fasano is always on the look out for out of the ordinary and creative home touches. She taps local artists and even artistic and creative friends and family. Her brother’s homemade root beer has been sold at the store, as well as his handmade wood pieces.

“We sold cases and cases of that soda,” she told Patch.

Shoppers may find soy candles to lavender bath scrubs to trinkets, as well as seaside and nautical pieces to choose from on any given day at the six-month-old retailer. There are vintage furniture pieces, and everything from shelves to mirrors, that latter which is always a fast selling item.

Fasano also creates artistic pieces for her store, such as white Christmas stockings which are catching shoppers’ attention big time this season. She sewed them from a vintage chenille quilt.

“It’s about a touch of style, and giving things a new spin,” she told Patch.
