W. Sayville Steak House Gets Kudos for a Providing a Very Special Evening

A blog post highlights 21 Main Steak House and how the food, and staff, made for a special birthday event.

The great thing about the Web is how often local people and places can crop up on websites and offer a rare look at how someone in the community or ae local business made someone's special event super special.

That's exactly the scenario one family experienced when they took Dad to dinner at 21 Main Steak House in Sayville.

Not only is it a heart-warming story of daughters treating their Dad to a special night, but the photos of the food made Patch want scallops at 9 a.m. in the morning after reading it.

Here's a short synopsis of the blog post:

The tuna was wonderful {A huge tuna steak cooked rare with edamame-ginger puree, pink peppercorn sesame crust, roasted Japanese eggplant & marinated carrot threads} ~ but the scallops…. mind-blowingly-fabulous.  They were enormous, perfectly seared and served with kiwi-strawberry salad, with a passion fruit & vanilla bean vinaigrette.  So light and summery – and I’m in awe at how well the fruit pairs with the scallop.

After a couple cappuccinos our night ended… and it couldn’t have been more lovely.

Patch felt compelled to share with readers how lucky Sayville and the surrounding communities are when it comes to terrific local eateries and businesses.

As the blog writer shares in the Weblogny post, "Sayville is just chocked full of wonderful spots to eat!"

And so the taxpayer is once again asked to give more to an already out of control and bloatedRead More system. Every year the school districts on Long Island receive increases of millions of dollars to their budgets, and still they want to bleed the taxpayer for more. As two income families struggle to pay exorbitant tax bills, we’re asked to pay even more? We’ll here’s a novel idea, how about if the teachers union’s began demanding less? This early retirement baloney must stop, salaries should be capped, administrators and their staffs must be cut by at least eighty percent. In addition, educators and staff should have to pay for their own medical and retirement plans just as the rest of us must. Here on Long Island, families are suffering and sacrificing, and many are being forced to leave due to taxes which are out of control. It is time for educators to cease hiding behind children with threats of decreased student programs, and to make an honest and realistic observation as to why things are as bad as they are. To blame parents for not paying enough into the system to support the schools is ludicrous. The real problem lies in a system which is self serving, and run by incompetents blind to the harm they are inflicting upon our children and families.
