While the arrival of a Target store at the Attias Flea Market in Sayville is at least a year off, the big box retailer is already having an impact on Sayville's downtown business district.
And that impact is positive, at least for now, as a flea market vendor has moved into an empty Main Street storefront.
Guru's officially opened its doors this past weekend, offering Indian clothing, accessories, jewelry, spiritual items as well household décor and even chess sets.
The airy spacious shop, which also boasts beautiful tapestries and women’s scarves, also offers a wide range of incense products.
Store employee and Sayville resident Danielle Merrill also advises checking out the unique handbags as they make for great holiday gifts.
“I love this store and ended up working here because I was such a fan when they were in the flea market,” she told Patch.
