Target Makes it Official: Sayville Store to Open July 2014

Retailer plans to hire 200 to 250 employees.

While site construction kicked off several months ago brand name retailer Target has officially announced it's opening its 21st store in Sayville in July 2014.

A press release issued late Monday states Target will be hiring 200 to 250 employees to work at the store being built at the corner of Broadway Avenue and Sunrise Highway.

The Sayville store will be approximately 144,000 square feet and include a selection of fresh produce, fresh packaged meat and pre-packaged baked goods, as well as a Starbucks, Target Optical and a Target Pharmacy.

Target will host job fairs approximately two months prior to the new store openings, at which prospective candidates may apply and interview for open team member positions. Candidates may also apply online at Target.com/careers or at in-store kiosks located in all Target stores approximately three months prior to the new store opening.

“The new Target store will allow us to deliver our “Expect More. Pay Less.” brand promise to even more guests in the area, and continue our legacy of giving to the local community," said Samir Shah, Target’s senior vice president of stores, Northeast.
