Sayville Turns into Margaritaville Saturday Night

There's even something new for the very young fans of Jimmy Buffet music.

The annual ever popular An Evening in Margaritaville, sponsored by the Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce, takes place Saturday, Sept. 28 in a brand-new location in Sayville and offers something new for young music lovers. The fun runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event, which features the Ed Travers band singing all the Jimmy Buffet songs parrot heads love, has been held for years in the south side back parking lots of Main Street businesses.

This year the event will be held at Gillette Park, on Gillette Avenue. There will also be children's activities provided by Mini Monet of Sayville.

Attendees to the free event are advised to bring chairs and blankets. In case of rain the event will be held at the same time on Sunday, Sept. 29.
