Readers' Choice Winner: Bunger's is Top Sporting Goods Store

On Monday of this week Patch asked local residents to give it up when it comes to their favorite, bestest sporting goods place.

We listed out several in the local communities Patch covers and the resounding winner is Bunger's Surf Shop on Main Street in Sayville with 53 percent of the vote tally.

Modells Sporting Goods and Lacrosse Unlimited both garnered 20 percent of the votes, Sports Authority received 6 percent. Yes that only adds up to 99 percent, but as we note the Patch poll is not a scientific poll.

Next week, starting Monday, the big question is which is best the Chinese food place.
