Now You See It, Now You Don't: Where Did the Antelope Roam Off To?

The new animal clinic on Montauk Highway once had a unique landscape figure.

The nearly-ready to open vetenarian center, Grady Animal Hospital, on Montauk Highway in Sayville, was boasting a unique landscape feature: some sort of animal carved from a shrub. Even up close it was hard to tell whether it was a deer, elk or an antelope but there was some smaller animal clearly on its head.

But before Patch could get the scoop it disappeared. It was there for over a week and last spotted Monday mid afternoon but then gone by 5 p.m. with just dirt tracks where it once stood.
