Nor'easter Didn't Keep Bayport Stores Down for Long

Local favorites like Ms. Michelle's Urban Gourmet, Fish Store and Houdek's were open.

The wicked first Nor'easter of 2013 wasn't as formidable as local businesses in Bayport as many had doors open late Saturday and all day Sunday for residents needing good food and good spirits.

Ms. Michelle's Urban Gourmet on Middle Road was one of the first warm inviting shops to open after the snow stopped. Thanks to reader Laura for posting the cover shot of the article to our Pics & Clips gallery.

The Fish Store was open and offering those without heat or power free soup and a place to warm up and charge up electronics. The new Sushi restaurant and of course 7-Eleven were open as well. Houdek's Liquor store reported that the snow storm brought in lots of new customers as other local liquor stores had not yet reopened.
