Where to shop locally for your Christmas tree.

This time of year, every other car on the road has a Christmas tree tied to the roof. Where are all these trees coming from? Below is a list of local establishments that may have a Christmas tree waiting with your name on it, and all the accessories to decorate your home.

  • Bayport Flower Houses

This festive store features Fraser Fir trees that are known for staying fresh in the home for a long time.  The design team at Bayport Flower creates all the wreaths and grave sprays and will work with you to make a one of a kind piece. Bayport Flower Houses also sells white pine roping, fragrant cedar garland and sprays of magnolia, eucalyptus and more.

All decked out for Christmas this store on Main Street in Sayville has an array of trees, garland and wreaths.  The Flower and Garden Shoppe features a must for every home – kissing balls, which is a beautiful way to display mistletoe.

Buying a Christmas tree from St. Ann’s is a holiday tradition for many families in the area.  They only sell trees, but have a large selection of all different sizes.  A portion of the tree sale goes to help the church.  St. Ann’s is open every night till 9 p.m.

Located on Greeley Avenue in Sayville, Vanderbilt Fence makes it easy to purchase a Christmas tree.  They offer free delivery to any home in Sayville or Oakdale.  Plus when you buy a tree from Vanderbilt you get $50 off any fence install in 2012.  They also sell wreaths, garland, roping, blankets and a special tree stand that promises a straight tree every time.
