New Bayport Gas Station Vows to Beat Competitors on Price

Shamrock gas station opened a few weeks ago and just got town ok to open its convenience store.

The newest gas station between Blue Point and West Sayville, the Shamrock, is selling gas for nearly  10 cents less than nearby competitors and its owner told Patch that's the strategy going forward.

"We'll always beat on price," the owner said this week as he put finishing touches on the storefront and gas station lot.

The pumps have been open for about two weeks, but a snafu with a town permit had kept the convenience store closed until mid this week.

Note to former Jetco fans: the station is no longer fullserve but is self-serve.

It's a drive-through bank.

I heard it was a bank some time ago, but I can't imagine which bank would run a construction projectRead More so poorly.
