Sayville’s own Sayville Falls Miniature Golf is open and leagues are starting the 15. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Shaolin Self Defense Center in Bayport is offering back-to-school specials with one month of martial arts (including private lesson, uniform, DVD and t-shirt) for $69.95 and a cardio kickboxing special, $99, for two months. Both specials are for new students only.

Sayville Gourmet Deli, which offers free local delivery, has breakfast, lunch, dinner and catering offerings. There are a bunch of football specials, such as a 3-foot hero with 25 wings for $70.

Sweet Frog frozen yogurt in Sayville is big on Halloween and offerings lots of specials on various days. If you wear your Sweet Frog shirt on Tuesdays you get 15% off.

What would October be without Oktoberfest celebrations and two Sayville restaurants have some great food to enjoy. Café Joelle offers traditional German favorites and a special celebration menu from now until Oct. 31. There is a three-course price fix menu at bistro 25 featuring a first course, entrée and dessert for $25 running this month as well.

Rumor has it that Florida Stone Crab Claws are arriving at The Fish Store in Bayport this month. The lunch special of fish and chips and a draft better for just $7.99 (dine-in only) is still going strong.
