There are dozens of motorists in Bayport sitting in line to get gas at Hess about 3 p.m. shortly after a fuel delivery truck arrived at the Montauk Highway station. Police were on hand to manage traffic and the line that quickly snaked down the highway, south along McConnell Avenue and then west on Railroad Avenue.
