An application to establish a bank drive-through operation at the former Dairy Barn site on Montauk Highway in Sayville has been filed with the Town of Islip Planning Board, according to town officials.
According to Islip town public iinformation, the First National Bank of Long Island submitted the planning board request. According to the bank's website, the closest branch to Sayville currently is in Bohemia on Orville Drive.
A new chain link fence was recently put up around the building, which has been vacant for some time. Town officials told Patch a site plan must be approved by the town's engineering division prior to the issuance of a building permit
