Don't Miss: Library Program on Reducing Electricity Costs

Any opportunity to lower a utility cost is a welcome one for local residents and the Bayport-Blue Point Library is hosting such a program this Thursday starting at 6:30 p.m.

Representatives  from the Conservation Services Group will be at the library to discuss three of LIPA’s  energy efficiency programs. Homeowners will get information on the Cool Homes  program, which promotes the installation of high efficiency air conditioning, the Home Performance Program, which qualifies homeowners for free energy audits and CFL light bulbs and the REAP program, which is an income based program that  offers free light bulbs and refrigerators to homeowners who qualify.
