Bye, Bye to Sayville's Dairy Barn

The vacant building on Main Street is bulldozed to make room for bank drive-thru.

One of Sayville's biggest eyesores is no longer. The old Dairy Barn building on the north side of Main Street was bulldozed this past week as work begins on what will be a bank drive-through for the First National Bank of Long Island.

When news broke last August about the new property ownership, local residents clearly weren't thrilled stating there are already too many banks in the community.

Thats because of all the darn fees they are charging now... lol Its amazing how I feel that long island is compromised of a series of 7-11's, Dunkin Donuts, CVS/Wallgreens, and Banks.

Just what we need, another bank. It is ridiculous. I can't believe someone couldn't think of something better to put there besides a bank.

I miss it, there have been a million times I wished Dairy Barn was still there. So convenient...a bank, dont think Sayville needs another one...

A bank doesn't just open and hope people come. If they did their due diligence, there must be a need for it. How often do you see a bank close?

Yeah! another bank in town where I can get money to pay for prescriptions from all the pharmacies.
