Business Beat: Sayville Salon Celebrates 5-Year Anniversary

Salon 36 on Railroad Avenue offers a huge thank you to community.

Salon 36 is celebrating its fifth year in business in Sayville and its owners want to thank the community and residents for such tremendous support.

"We're so thankful for our success and so appreciative of the community and what this town does to support the local business district and all the great events and programs that happen here," said co-owner Stacey Cone, who runs the shop with co-owner Tracy Boulassikis.

When it comes to community support Salon 36 does its share as well to support local organizations and efforts, hosting fundraisers and charity auctions.

Surviving the recent recession has not been easy for local small business, say the owners, and they credit local residents for helping stores stay in business.

"We are thriving in this economy because of the local people who support local business," said Stacey. "We also want to wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday."
